Why does a property manager require a supplier to be an AAGW member to do business with them?
Our supplier members support many of AAGW's activities and initiatives. Many of our industry members want to repay these supplier members for their generous support, by choosing to do business with only AAGW members.
By being a member, attending events and networking, supplier members learn about the needs and parameters property managers must work within. Therefore, supplier members have a better understanding of property managers' needs, making it easier to do business with them.
What fees are there besides dues?
Most events have an attendance fee. By looking at our calendar of events you can get a feel for budget items. Some things to think about are:
Do I have to pay a full year of dues when I apply for membership later in the year?
Dues are automatically prorated by quarter when you apply for membership.
When will I find out if I was approved for membership?
Our board meets monthly, usually the 2nd Thursday of the month. You should receive an email from us within a couple days after that meeting.
Why do I need to provide a referral on my application?
We have a member recruitment program to encourage our current members to invite other properties and suppliers to become members. By providing who you were referred by we can thank them for spreading our name and reward them with a gift card.
How do I get involved in a committee?
Take a look at our Committee page under the "About" tab. It will include descriptions of all our committees and the contact information for the chair of that committee.
